Any one see or catch blue gill this weekend at Mantua? I am wondering if it is time to get my boy up there to catch those little guys.

[cool]Hi Nathan. I haven't been up there yet, but from what I know of Mantua, the bass start biting right now, and some gils and perch will, but the best 'gil fishing is about two to three weeks away. Once its about 90 degrees every day, the gils get REALLY hot. It's supposed to cool down to the 60's starting on Wednesday. You maybe could get him into some fish from shore today or tomorrow, but I think the bite will slow a bit after that for a couple weeks....I will be taking my kids up there in June or July when it's really hot 'gil fishing.
