I had the day off so me and a buddy headed down to the Broad river in Beaufort for some Cobia.
Ended up with two small fish in the box, released another one that was under 33" and pulled thew hook on another that was small.
All fish were caught on squid.

The bad news is that it was so ruff in the river that the boat beside us sank with two people in it.
Had to go pick them up and carry them back to the boat ramp. The lady that was in the boat couldn't swim, but thank god she had on her life jacket! She was a little shaken up but was fine.
The coast guard came by to check it out, but we were back on the anchor and had lines in the water by the time they got there.
The rescue squad came and got the boat.

That is so damn funny, and not the accident part, but that I remember reading about this not long ago on another fishing site. Good deal on lookin' out. Hopefully the boat didn't sink out of neglect. We get a bunch of yahoo's around MI. I've seen 15' bass trackers 3 miles offshore. WTF? The funniest thing I saw was a bunch of old country boys piled in a 14' john boat at the jetties. Those guys must have weighed 300 pounds a piece. LOL!!!!!!!!!! The side of the boat was like 5 inches off the water. It's comical in a way, but wrecklass. I have a hard time finding sympathy for those who leave the most important piece of fishing equipment at the house, their mind. [crazy]
