[][font "Arial Black"][red][size 2] Well I had to perform a little surgery on my 6hp Johnson trolling motor today. I was getting water in the foot oil and it was really nasty. [/size][/red][/font]

[font "Arial Black"][#ff0000][size 2] When I got inside the lower end, I found everything covered in a grey scum or foam. So I looked into the waterpump and found that the gasket under the pump was all messed up. So I repaired the problem and replaced the impeller and the gasket and a top seal. Tried it out in a bucket of water and all is well. Saved myself 150.00.[/size][/#ff0000][/font]

Little secret... when you run your outboard in that water and it builds up a little exaust skum in there dump it out on the lawn and have a worm can ready. I dont know if oxygen level has been altered or what it does but the worms will come out of the ground like they were on fire. DZ

I used to do it all the time. yesterday after you left I dumped that one from hals motor and watched the kids shovel worms into the box I'll bet in 5 minutes they had over 100 huge crawlers. (pretty good for two prissy little girls). DZ

I am tell'n ya people. You guys just arnt taking advantage of this man full abillities. This motor of mine that he got running and running better than it ever has. (aat least the past 10 years.) was not running at all.

If you got problems with your motor this is your man.

I am just happy I get to use my boat again.
