I've been through Emmett a few times and have fished at a few of the local ponds. I would like to try Sawyers Pond next week. The F&G website shows a map of it but where they say it is, it is simply a map of land. There are ponds a bit south of where they say Sawyers Pond is. Is this where it is located?
Thanks,

There's a sign on the hiway, that tells you when to turn, then after you turn when you get to the cement/gravel yard turn right, then look for water. I just fished one of the sawyer ponds and crappie, bluegill where spawning and there were bass on beds, even seen some cats on beds.
What day you coming down? If I'm not working maybe I could meet you and show you in person. Theirs 3 ponds side by side, each one has it's own personality.

I may be up there around the 21st. We have realtives in Payette and when this post came up I thought I might see about this instead of Steck Park. What would you suggest since I will have my pontoon? I was thinking about cat fishing and trying to find some larger crappie. Maybe we all might be able to hook up?[cool]

Bass and crappie would be your best bet, although I did catch a nice brown bullhead cat out of one last week.
I use top water, spinners, plastics, small jigs from the bank. Its all good. Your pontoon would be the ticket for some good fishing, away from all the bankies.
I'm willing to hook up, providing I'm not working. I'm going up to Woodhead on the 5th. It looks like the Saturday the 21st I'm off for one day, so just maybe we shall meet.
