What is the status of the water clarity at Scofield? Taking my friend and his boy who haven't fished in over a year and wanted to know if Scofield would be a good bet.

[cool][#0000ff]Should be a very good place to fish from shore. Water is "stained" a bit, but plenty of clarity and plenty of hungry fish.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Use minnows if you have them or can get them. Otherwise, they will also hit worms or bottle baits.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you like to throw a bubble and fly, you can do well with black wooly buggers.[/#0000ff]

Iwill be fishing from a boat. I prefer to troll Rapalas. But if it is still murky, I think I would go to Strawberry. How far can you see? Last time I was there, I could only see 1 foot deep. Anyone who was there yesterday?

[cool][#0000ff]It is clear enough for a slow presentation, but probably a bit murky for effective trolling with hardbaits. I was there last Monday and it was only one or two feet at best. That is good enough for walleyes, but not for trout.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you don't care about catching larger fish, you might consider Jordanelle. Lots of smaller rainbows and they love Rapalas. A few decent browns in the mix too.[/#0000ff]
