Does anyone know of a good taxidermist for fish? I have a 35 lb mac that took 2 nd place at the villa fishing derby. Having a hard time finding someone to mount it.

You will be happy with a skin mount. It will be the fish you caught, not an artists rendition. I must have missed something here but congrats on the biggun'. Shoot me a pm on where you get the mount done and if you remember I'd like to see some pics of the finished product. (and if you know where those guys caught the 4# smallies during the derby you have to tell me [])

I asked 2 legitimate questions. You may not like how I phrased the questions, but they're legitimate ones and I'm curious to know the answers. Strangely I can't find the Villa payout info online.

All though I primarilly catch and release myself, the great thing about fishing in this country, is you have the right to kill what fish you want (with in leagal limit) I agree with LH2, wilderness is the best around.

I'd recomend my guy, but he's on a mission. Hopefully he'll be back in the next year or so. He'll be a very rich man when he returns lol

i quit posting reports on the other site for that very reason. Last time i checked it was a fish, and there are plenty of them around so why should we feel guilty about keeping one to eat, mount, or slap somebody with. good call. as for the taxidermist, if you're around richfield wildlife recreations does a great job, skin mounts or replicas. The skin mounts look alot better than a big glass fish though.

[mad] You guys are sure quick to judge Dons opinion. You have no problem offering yours. You obviously do not agree with Don. He is entitled to his opinion just like you are entitled to yours. If you can offer your two cents, why can't he offer his. He is just concerned about respecting a rare but awesome resource we have close to home.
