[cool] [font "Comic Sans MS"][#800000][size 4]I took my bride to Willard today. We launched at the South Marina at about 10:30 AM. The water depth in the harbor averaged between 3 and 4 feet. Pulling into the main channel and turning west towards the lake put us in about 7 feet of water. It then gets shallower to around 2 feet upon entering the lake proper.[/size][/#800000][/font]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][#800000][size 4]We began trolling immediately and headed for the island area. We trolled past that and headed towards the northwest corner and the light pole. We finally caught a nice wiper just off the light pole a couple hundred yards. We stayed in that general area and caught one more. We then pulled the lines and went to the island area for some catfish. We anchored there and caught 2 in about an hour and a half.[/size][/#800000][/font]

[font "Comic Sans MS"][#800000][size 4]The water temps were 60 plus or minus a couple of degrees depending on where we were. The wind was causing a small chop on the water, but not bad. All in all we had a nice trip. Life is good.[/size][/#800000][/font]

Nice catch what speeds where you trolling? i am still in the works of my first willard wiper here soon

My sonar display said 1.9 to 2.3 depending on the wind factor. But I generally try for right around 2.0 for wipers.
