[unsure]Has anyone been to willard bay lately for crappies. I haven't been there for about 2 weeks. It is usually good for them this time of year. Also i went to echo about 2 1/2 weeks ago but i wasn't able to catch any smallies but i caught 2 rainbows and 1 brown. Has anyone been able to catch any smallmouths at echo yet if so please post here or send me a private message. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK FISHIN TRFISHIN

I fished (or attempted to) Willard Friday and Saturday. Friday, the north marina must of had 25 or more people fishing for crappie and a few that I talked to had caught a few. Also yesterday, from the reports from other BFT folks, they were still catching a few crappie even with the rough conditions so I would guess a trip to Willard for crappie would be worthwhile. As far as walleye and wipers, my luck has been ZERO. No bites, No fish in two days. Water temp was around the 55 degree mark. We graphed lots of fish, especially in the SW corner. We did the worm harness thing and after tiring of trying to maintain boat control in the wind at low speeds, we switched to wiper tactics. As I said before neither prevailed but still a good time on the water.

I tried for crappie for a while at willard and was fishing a chartreuse marabou 1/16oz 3' under bobber and getting lots of bites . Just no hook ups . I think you need fish smaller jigs . tight lines
