Fished L.P. yesterday. Last year the morning bite was the thing, but it was very slow in the early A.M. It was a strange bite. You might troll for 45 min. and then three of the poles would get action simultaneously. We had several doubles, and then nothing for an hour. Ended up with 8 nice kokes and lost several, natch. Fish were caught on two colors on the lead core and downriggers set at 14 ft. and 17ft. The other boats were having the same results. Jack Lloyd two-bladers or kokanee trolls, wedding rings and shoepeg were working best. The fish were found east of the short ramp at Spring Shores, and off the point across from ramp one. Mike

New to the board. Just found it today. Has anyone been to Lucky Peak for Smallmouth fishing? I'm thinking about running up on Monday. I have an evening Bass tourny up there on the 18th.

any largemouths in there?

No, Smallies only. They fight better than largemouth. [Wink]

I rarely see anyone bass fishing in L.P. Where I have seen the most bass boats is upriver from Spring Shores, towards Arrowrock Dam. The smallmouths seem to have gone crazy in Arrowrock the past two years. Most are small, but I have heard they are picking up some larger fish. I am most typically fishing for kokanee in both waters and trout in Arrowrock. Good luck in your tourney. Let us know how you do. Mike
