I know only very little in addition to what you posted. One of the guys at the Buckboard marina told me that the biggest brown trout this year was about 10 pounds, and maybe, maybe, a little over.
What was the biggest Mac they ended up with? Sure is surprising noone on BFT there would post anything, can't find anything on the Buckboard side either.

Here's a link to the radio station that covered it out of Rock Springs.

10 pound brown my foot! [mad] That Buckboard man lied to me. I thought they would be able to get some bigger kokanee this year, with all the good recent reports from the Buckboard area. No real big rainbows either. Good Macs though. Thanks for that info.

[]Better late than never! Had a great time at the Buckboard derby. It was windy and cold, so it was nice to have the hardtop to get out of the weather. We caught a lot of fish on Saturday around the Buckboard area. Most of them were caught between 15 and 35 ft. We used mostly rmt squids and red sparkle apex. Our biggest koke was just under 3 lbs.
On Sunday we fished hard but only manages to catch 2 kokes, but the bigger of the 2 put us in 4th place. We caught the winning koke on red apex & a U.V. Pink Splatter Signature Dodger at 38 ft deep around 11am.
It was good to talk to Jared & his father. Thanks to all the people at Buckboard for a great derby. Travis
