I don't have a toon but have owned tubes from Trout Unlimited and ODC. Had trouble with the stitching on the Trout Unlimited and found their warranty to be worthless. Others have had problems with the stitching too. ODC on the otherhand has been great.

i have the odc sport and it is great for me. I do not have a motor, but for what I do that is ok. This toon is easy to assemble, inflate, and to float, The seat is great for my old back. Would highly reccomend this one. good luck and safe floating.[Smile][Smile]

which from what I understand is a little smaller and a little cheaper than the backpacker model.. the last I heard he liked that toon..

maybe he will come on later and give us a rundown on that one..

[cool][#0000ff]You might want to add the TU Colorado to your list of possibles. It has been greatly improved the last year or so, and most who buy it are happy with the design and performance.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]And, if you have a Sam's Club membership...or know someone who does...you can sometimes get them there at a good price.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Otherwise, the Creek Company DOES make good craft and has a good warranty. Any of their models you choose...based upon your budget and your needs....should be a good choice.[/#0000ff]

tell me what yall think... deal or no deal?

[cool][#0000ff]Face value...looks like a pretty good deal. Anything under $200 would make it better. And, it is a decent craft for the money. A good "starter" toon. You can enjoy it and learn more about it, without having to put out top dollar. After a year or so, you can decide to keep it or to sell it and upgrade to something bigger and/or better. And, if you keep it in good shape, you should be able to get most or all of your initial investment back.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Creek Company makes a good product and most owners are happy with their products.[/#0000ff]

$175 is the final price. Now just got to talk it over with my beter half. [Wink]

[cool][#0000ff]Too bad. You probably would have liked that toon.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Hint...whenever the wife asks why you need more than one fishing rod, do not try to reason with her by comparing your fishing rods to her shoes. Men only NEED one fishing rod. Women can NEVER get by with only one pair of shoes.[/#0000ff]

you see some how I managed to form a compromise for the both of us to be happy. Her friend came in to stay with us and I presented a plan that for every $1 she spends shopping for herself or her freinds, I get to save $1 for me and my toon. [laugh][laugh][laugh] And she actually liked it and has been really the one keeping track of how much she has spent for me. so thus far I think I have about $230 or so.

so my plan is to get a pontoon, rig with pvc, then fish it till september and then decide on fish finder or not for my birthday.

[cool][#0000ff]Sounds like a lot better arrangement than mine. My wife and I have a "50-50" plan.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I get 50 cents and she gets 50 dollars.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Good luck.[/#0000ff]

I have had my madison for a few years. I chose it because it accommodated my size (6'4", 280lb) and was under $300. I have really enjoyed the toon. No issues for me ...
