Had the day off work so I decided to go fishing with the family. We got up to Newton about 11:00 and the wind was really blowing. We went ahead and took the boat out any ways and "fished" for about two hours. Actually we fished for about 20 minutes the rest of the time was spent driving around in the boat and having lunch on the water. No fish were harmed during our trip, we didn't even get a bite. But it was a nice day any ways. There were two other boats fishing and one group of skiers. The skiers looked like they were on a family outing and stayed pretty far away and were respectful to us in our small craft. If the wind wasn't so bad we might have done better. The water temp was hovering around 60 degrees and the water was super clear. I'd say you could see down 7-10 feet. Hopefully I'll be going out tomorrow just haven't decided where yet.

Jaybird one of these days we need to hit the water!

This has got to be the windiest spring/early summer that I can remember. (And I thought Laramie Wyoming was enough! The "W" never ceases in that part of the country.)

wassup TS!! Well, I was toying with the idea of taking my 2 boys up to fish from the bank at Porcupine. Been trying to get over a damn cold now for the past 2 weeks so it just depends if I feel like going in the a.m.

What about you bro?

Well the old lady wants to do ANOTHER garbage...........errrrr.....garage sale so I am going to get a late start to the day, since she is 7 months pregnant, I am going to have to hang back and set everything up for her then I can go once her parents show up. Anyhow, I plan on going to Mantua since I will get a late start and have to be back by 2:30, so I will get more fishing (time) in there than anywhere else!!! Good luck at the Pig if you go and get better soon!!!

Let me know how you do at Mantua! I haven't had much luck there over the last year or so, for whatever the reason.

Good luck to ya, I hope you slay 'em!
