Fished Big Sand Bay after work looking for the crappie. Think I say them on the screen but couldn't get any takers. Did catch 3 walleye kept 2, also caught some small bass.

We were there Sunday and saw plenty jumping in the water, but never could intise one to jump on either my worm or my lure. Guess they weren't hungry after the weekend tourney.

Are the Walleyes deep ? What else is there too catch ? We are heading up the 4th.

The eyes have been in 10' or less, bass, perch, trout, bluegill, crappie, catfish. Any other question?

Thank you Sir

Thanks for the sir but, well thanks. It's a great fishery will you be in a boat or what? and will you be camping?

Boat and camping on our boat, a Trophy 23' with cabin. Can you use live bait ? If not we are used too no live bait. We get spoiled at Boysen with bait.
[signature]
Yes and no. The only bait that can not be alive is minnows. Camping on the boat should be great. Do you know where the boat ramp is?

We know not a thing about the lake. Except there is great fishing.

Have you googled your directions?

WE were going to go 80 to 93 and turn at Rogerson. Do you think its the shortest route ? Is there anywhere to get supplies and ice ?
[signature]
The best bet would to stop in Twin Falls, Winco (a grocery store) is on the right just after the stop light, also there is a Costco, (they have the best buy on ice) if you turn right and Sportsmans Warehouse is in the mall on the left by the Snake River Canyon.
There is a great little store right in Rogerson, it's right along side 93, there are a bunch of walleye mounts there and some good info plus some supplies.

This has a rough drawing of the reservoir, but has all the names of the bays and such.
If you would like to visit on the phone PM me and I will be glad to help.

that's a neat map, thanks michael. do you know which areas are accessible by vehicle? been to grey's landing and the boat ramp, but that's it.
[signature]
Big Sand Bay which you turn off the road into Grey's to get to, Norton Bay which is just down 93 a mile or so, there is a sign, the Backwaters also marke with a sign just down 93 a little more, it's 7 miles in. All of these are roads but are washboardy and rocky rough in places but accessable by car.
There are others that are very rough and would be better accessed by 4x4 or a pickup.

Hey, i was researching salmon falls to go fishing there. I have'nt been there in about 30 years. I was wondering if you would be kind enough to tell me if there are any campgrounds at the lake, thanks randy parish

There is a camp ground up by the Dam and boat ramp. Otherwise you can just camp about anywhere. There are outhouses at Greys landing, Big Sand bay, Norton bay and at the Headwaters.

Idahopanfish, have you fished Salmon Falls yet this year?
[signature]
Yes, but it was over a month ago, water temp was 38 then not sure what it is now.
