Cascade can be cruel, and it certainly was this past Friday. We were targeting perch, and were going to also try for bass. We couldn't muster as much as a single bite, and the bass fishermen told us not to bother. Ditto for the trout trollers. Can't remember the last time I was skunked on Cascade. I guess it is back to L.P. where we have been doing well. Also might be time to try Magic, although I haven't heard of any reports. Mike

I haven't fished L.P. for several years. The last time we fished it, the little kokanee--and I mean little--wouldn't stay off long enough for us to try for anything larger. I do know people who have connected with the tiger muskies, if you don't mind doing a lot of casting. I have fished the main Payette Lake regularly since 1960 for macks. It can be quite good. Our last fish was 32 pounds, the largest I have ever caught. I have always found the best fishing around the first part of July, but it is good all summer, assuming you have downriggers, and know the productive spots. Good luck, and let the site know how you do. Mike
