Hey there ReelMN,
One idea is to access the International Game Fish Association's site as they've got their new and beautiful website up and running.
Website address: http://www.igfa.org that's .org
There are 155 world records that non-memebers can view without becoming an IGFA member. Look around the site as there's lots of interesting things to learn and enjoy.
As mentioned in a previous post, state records need to be searched state by state.

The only catch and release world record I know of is St. George resident Hart Wixom with a 52 pound lake trout on a fly rod. I'm sure you can do a search and find out more.
