Well me and the old man took the quick trip up to east canyon today. Got on the water about 6:20 am water temp was 57 and the lake is going over the spillway.
We trolled the west bank using pop gear and worm anywhere from 3 1/2 colors to 5. fast and furious action. If we kept all we would of had are limit in the first hour. nothing to big or nothing you would want to brag about all ranging from 12 inches the largest was about 19 rainbows. we decided to try some others lures the old man pulled a double renegade fly behind his pop gear and did well. I went with the perch scale flatfish F7 size or a bright orange one as the day went on and did well. we stopped counting fish at 40 if your trying to get someone hooked on fishing great place to go. lots of bites! the weather was perfect. heres a crappy pic all we had was a cell phone camera. left the good camera at home. sorry for the poor quality

I was up there too this morning just after 6 am. I was by myself in the blue Lund, what were you in? we surely crossed paths It sounds like you did pretty good! I was chasing smallmouth and ended up with 11 plus one rainbow. Seven of them were dinks, but four had some size to them. All of them went back for another day. It was a nice day up there for sure, but I couldn't believe how many boats were on the water [shocked] Later, Fred K.
