After checking the computer, they where having a tourny on Moodus so we headed local to guilford. On the water at 5 and the topwater bite was on full force. [Image: bier.gif] Pulled three bass in the next two hours on a popper. We dropped shotted a drop off and started pulling in some nice pickerel in the 24" range. Water temp was 71-81, sencos did most of the work for us. Total for the day was 8 bass, none over 2 1/2lbs and 8 pickerel. Did see a couple of channel cats dead at the ramp, but never hooked onto one. Seems more peaple are useing this lake than in the past. They fixed the ramp a few years ago, but it has gone back to it's old condition.

you had a better bite than we did.i have noticed that the ponds are getting more pressure than in the past,it must be due to the gas prices.everyone is staying close to home.i wonder why the cats were dead, maybe someone caughtt them and them changed there minds on taking them

I suppose they lose a few in transit. One was 4" and one was 16" and flopping on the top. They did put some in that are 6+ lbs from what I hear. Now we have to figure out how to catch them besides by accident bass fishing.[Image: surprised.gif] What areas would they go to in a bass management lake??
