Man.. it is so preventable and yet still happens all the time. Granted.. this time they weren't trying to swim under the boat or anything.. But.. CO Kills! If you rent a house boat.. it's easy to take a battery operated CO detector/alarm. $40 could save yours and your family's lives! It's really too bad..
They are lucky the guy woke up..

Thats too bad, sounds like the guy was a hero and saved his family before his heart gave out. I think most people just assume they are safe on a house boat. I don't know how often this kind of tragedy happens on a house boat but you would think the company that rents them would have CO detectors on them. Of course if the house boat belongs to the family it would be their responsibility. WH2
