14 walleye, 4 smallmouth, 1 perch. This was saturday from 7:00am till 11:30am.
Most productive was the north end of the lake, with fish caught mostly from 7' to 14' of water. If you find weeds, and brush I think you'll find fish.
Bets of all thanks to Tube Dude for the fire tiger colored home made jigs (happened to win them at the perch-a-thon drawing at Yuba this past winter). Hooked with a crawler, they were the ticket.
We moved around and fished a mid-lake reef (one walleye and one smallmouth), bridge (one walleye), and Rabbit Gulch (nada), but the north end was the most productive.
I'm pretty confident that if we would have remained in Saleratus Wash the whole time we would have limited out, but it's always worth a little experimentation.
The walleyes were up to 19" and the largest smallmouth a 2 lber. Amazing that the perch haven't started up yet, but maybe as the waters warm they too will pick up.
