Hello eveyone. I recently purchased my first float tube at a cabelas. I picked up a T.U Togiak for $140. Took it out for the first time this past saturday and loved it. I went to a small pond to do some bass fishing and slayed em'! I caught 26 LMB in all, and probably lost 10 more. I found casting and hook setting to be fairly easy, especially skip casting! I From that angle on the water, i was able to skip my senko worms and tube jigs far up underneath docks and brush overhang which is key for catching bass. I was impressed with the fishability of this float tube. It has plenty of room for all my tackle and a velcro strap for and extra rod on the front. I fished comfortably with 2 rods all day. I also like how high you actually sit out of the water and how sturdy the seat is.

I have seen some of the modifications you guys have done with your tubes and would like to try some of them on my tube, but before i do that im going to test the durability a little longer. I have heard some bad things about the Togiak model. A lot about seams busting out. I'm thinking most people dont think to relieve some air from the bladders on a hot day when the air expands.

I'm thinking about buying some seam sealer and seal the outside and inside of the tube cover to prevent tearing. Does anyone think this will work??
