So I've had a Bucks Hi & Dri for 15 years and love fishing on my elbows on the front of the tube. I'm awaiting delivery of my new FC4 Deluxe and I'm wondering with a rigid sushi board if I'd be able to do that? Or will the lack of the front flotation volume make me plunk out the front?
Seems like the HC3 might be more stable in this mode, but it was out of my budget.
I'll probably just get used to the new "style" of La-z-boy fishing anyway, right? It'll definitely be interesting sitting out of the water.
Thanks!

[#0000ff]I also fished from a round tube for many years, but I can't imagine what kind of fishing you might be doing that involves leaning forward with your elbows on the front. When I am fishing I sit up as high as possible, to keep watching for fish activity and to have the greatest control over my casting and line direction. I am constantly casting, retrieving and fighting fish...no time for snoozing.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Of course, if you really wanna prop up your elbows on something, you could probably find an inflatable cushion somewhere.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I think you will like the FC4 deluxe...for comfort and handling. You will likely be impressed with how much higher you actually sit in it and the tradeoff (elbows on the table) will seem like a small price to pay for the extra fishing ability of your new ride.[/#0000ff]

I guess the elbows on the table habit just transferred to elbows on the rim...
I'd usually do it for finesse slow wormin' for bass where I'd generally use mostly wrist movement to impart action to the bait.
Thanks for the input, and I'll surely post up my maiden voyage story!

I have done that from time to time in the O tube I use to use, but it was mainly to try and regain some comfort in my rear end. I have never wanted to do this in either of my V tubes as they are very comfy and I feel give much better support to the rear end.

With regards to regaining circulation in the rear, you may have a point there! Never considered that as a possibility.
Still waiting for a window in this infernal SMOKE in California to go test out the new toy.
