It states closed to the possession of,

1. Does that say no fishing or can we catch and release?, 2. My friend went there Sat, he was not told of it being closed, he fished from the bank.
3. and are they telling all anglers of this that are fishing there from the banks?
4. Is there a fine $[frown] if caught ?

[font "Comic Sans MS"][size 2][#002850]The word "closed" is a little miss leading here. It just means that if you catch tiger musky (intentional or un-intentional) you have to release it. You can still target the muskies ... you just have to release them. I still plan to fish for the muskies. Like always, I plan to release them all.

With this new ruling, there ought to be some biguns in a couple years.

Yes there is a hefty fine for keeping muskies. if they where under 40 inches and know it is all catch and release. Fish and Game will most likely take all your stuff away. I have seen it happen. I tried to tell the dude that it was to small. But he spoke spanish and i speak a little bit. but not to much. The fish and game seen him and took all is lures and rods away. and gave him a ticket. Last time i heard it was 500 dollars but that was back when the limit was 1 over 50. So thats my 2 cents.

I was just up there yesterday(Monday) and there was not any signage anywhere. If they make changes they need to inform the public about them. I called the DWR and they just said no one had made it up there yet to put up some signs. LAZY !!!!!
