The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks website is getting a makeover.
The department will soon unveil a newly-designed website. While the new look will be apparent, the siteÂ’s content and organization will be familiar to past visitors. Increased screen resolution will accommodate more information and images, but navigating through the site will be unchanged.
One change not readily apparent will be more timely updates of information on the website. With the redesigned site, and the associated conversion to new Internet servers, updates will be posted immediately, rather than once each business day as is currently done. More than 100 KDWP employees regularly update their respective pages on the website, from district fisheries biologists filing fishing reports on lakes they manage to state park managers posting the latest news from their parks.

Currently, the KDWP website hosts about one million pageviews” per month. As the most comprehensive source of information on nature-based recreation in Kansas, the website is an indispensable tool for outdoors-minded citizens of all ages.
