[cool][#0000ff]TubeBabe and I planned to hit Jordanelle today, but one of our Fishing 101 students begged for a tubing trip on Willard. She had problems and could not make it so since we were already ready we hit it anyway.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Launched at 6:15 AM. Calm, water temp 76. Some small shadlets rippling around the edge in the marina but nothing bothering them.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Started firing a new model blue back prism diving crankbait as soon as we got outside the marina. Threw it onto a shallow hump and POW ZING. Fish on. It was throwing water with its tail, the water was so shallow. Wondered if it was a carp. Nope. Nice 19 inch wiper. Only 6:30. Figured it was going to be a bananner day. Figured wrong. First and last wiper within fifteen minutes of launch. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Of course the kitties wanted to play. We both caught a grundle and a half on minnows. I also caught a few on cranks...including a new blue back prism lipless model. No big kitties. Largest maybe one of the 18 inchers I got on a bobber head jig, 4 feet under a bobber in 8 feet of water.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Water was glass most of the morning. A light breeze a couple of times but right back to glass. A bit of haze (thanks California) and a few small clouds. Snow totally gone from the mountains.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Quite a few boats going out and several bank tanglers in a couple of different spots. Didn't see anybody else catch anything and when we went in we were the only ones at the fish cleaning station. Didn't look like it had been used at all by the time we got there about 1. We had the one wiper and a few kitties for the table. Looks like it is still slow from the weekend. Oh yeah, the water temp was up to 80.4 when we came back in.[/#0000ff]
