Rigged up the depth sounder on the Kayak this weekend and because I was home early from work I decided to try it out yesterday. I wanted someplace close, so I launched at the bridge west of Lehi and hit the river.
Launching was a breeze due to the new cart I had also built over the weekend. I fished downstream, finding several holes to 14' deep. I was reel happy with how the Finder was working and the fine milk crate mount and rod holders I had made of PVC.
I noticed some stumps on the bank and decided to throw a bait at them. Wham. A nice kittie in seconds. I anchored and cast again, again Kittie. Ended up catching 12 kitties from that one spot. I kept a few. The onion bag is 20" across.
Pics are of Kayak Kart, second is command post view and third is the kitties.
