Ok I have fished willard the same way since I first learned how 2 or 3 years ago from one of my real good friends. I have had pretty good success almost every outing for wipers lots of catfish this year and even one walleye by accident last year. I have always used white crappie jigs trolling or throwing into boils of course, but I was wondering what exactly the other lures everybody else has been having luck with? Also have any of you fished walleye out there with a bottom bouncer? I was worried it was to rough on the bottom of the lake. Any thoughts appreciated. THANKS[

I am new to Willard this year but have been doing good on the Wipers with Shad Raps (Rapala), Rat'l Traps, and Berkly Shad lures. I always try to choose something natural looking white/silver, diving, and not too big. I haven't tried any of the extreme colors that some people have luck on (firetiger, bright yellow, etc). I have a 2 pole permit and have been catching 50% on planer boards. The last week or so I have consistently caught my limit, until today. I had 3 guys in the boat this morning and we all got skunked. The water was glass, and the moon was looking really full when we arrived. I suspect the fish were up all night partying. How do you troll the jigs? Under a bobber or long-lining them out there by them selves?

I use basically the same things that mile is talking about. I really like the Frenzy hard baits as well. Some good, non-traditional colors are clown, lime green back, and purple.
