I have a FishCat 9. I'd consider wheels for transport to and from parking lot to water. The only wheels that might work appear to be these , but the reviews are not great, and I'm not convinced there's a good mounting point anyway.
The crossmembers that hold the seat are square tubing, so I'm thinking that the type of clamps that hold a metal bedframe together might be a starting point.
No search on BFT turned up anything about pontoon wheels.
Any ideas (existing products) out there? Outcast's web site doesn't show wheels.
I ain't skeered to fab, but would consider store-bought, if it exists.
Boat weight is 80 lbs, but then there's that Nissan 3.5 hp I put on the back (40 lbs). I could always carry that to waters edge, though.
It's a busy day, so I won't be able to check back in as often as I'd like, but thx to anyone who replies.

[cool][#0000ff]I had a Fish Cat Cougar with a single bicycle wheel attached to the foot bars as shown in the pic. Only slightly wobbly, but two wheels would be better.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I recently bought some small 10" pneumatic tires from Harbor Freight for about $5 apiece and made a PVC platform tube cart. See pics. I used 1/2" PVC but 1" would be better for a toon.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]We have had several folks post reports of homemade toon wheels on the float tubing board. Here are 5 pics sent by a member from Holland of the fancy metalwork toon wheel he fabbed.[/#0000ff]

Nice writeup, TD. Thanks.
Been thinkin about all sorts of designs, and of all of em, the single wheel attached to the footrests is the most practical.
But better yet would be to just get to the water early enough that I could park the truck down at the ramp, and just build it and load it there. And then cross my fingers and hope for light afternoon ramp traffic. [cool]
But I do have a bicycle wheel here at the house...

[cool][#0000ff]Not sure which waters you plan to launch your toon, but the ramps are available for your use too. Just be considerate of boaters, by moving your gear off the main ramp if possible. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Lots of us tubers and tooners launch from ramps. Yes, it is usually easier to launch early in the morning, but by the time you want to come back in the ramp can be pretty busy. So, it is good to have a "quick exit strategy"...like a wheel.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you like the single wheel design, HERE IS A LINK to a post on the tubing board from a couple of years ago...with more details. I wish my Search had turned up these links. I searched "Pontoon wheels", whole phrase. Oh well.
I'm going to Q Creek, SH, and Gunlock. I've already called Q Creek this morning and talked with someone to give me a "visual" on the ramps. He said the staging area is about 100' from the ramp, so I'm resigned to just parking there and lugging stuff to the water.
It's doubtful I'l have time between now and next Tue eve to build a wheel.
This is what I've always been wary about with a 'toon: the setup time.
I should just cough up some dough and buy a super small trailer. Anyone have one to sell? [cool]
TD, if you want to keep this post on the main board so that someone can chime in to assure me that ramp conditions at these 3 places are suitable to toon setup, that'd be great. If you want to go to PM, that's OK, too. Today's just like yesterday, not gonna be able to check in alot.
Thanks for everything so far.
