Looks like I'll hire a guide to fly fish in the "Greater SLC" area.

I came across Provo River Outfitters. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with these folks?

Trout Bum and Jans Mountain Outfitters have also been recommended.

Any others?

Also, as a complete first timer, do you think it would be overly ambitious to try 2 days @ eight hours each?

Not at all, but I think with what EITHER shows you on one day, you could be fine on your own the next day.
Tell them Joni referred you. Don't know if it will help, but they do like me[laugh] Plus you can try out the ECHO which is a great in-expensive rod.
