Wow, what a great time we just had at Brownlee Reservoir. Eight days of great weather in the low 90's. We easily had 100 fish days for both crappie and bass in just a matter of hours. I can actually say I'm sore from catching fish and I know POZE was also. We strickly used lead headed jigs with either a 3" brown grub or Poze's favorite a 5" purple curly tail plastic worm. We only targeted smallmouth bass, but the crappie where so thick and everywhere that it was pretty much a free for all. The crappie all seemed to be in the 8" range, but there were about a gazillion which gets us excited about next year and the next for some good slab hunting.
Bass fishing was tough, about every 20 or so bass you would get a legal one. We brought in many 12" to 19" smallmouth, but had to catch hundreds and hundreds of 10" or less. It was pretty much a cast and reel a fish in everytime. The last morning we went out, as soon as we left the dock, POZE's first 2 casts brought in two 17"ers. I hadn't even rigged my line up yet, lol.
So, enough of me rambling and besides my finger tips are raw from them fish teeth.

POZE at her finest and with the many of fish she caught.

Great report and pics. I was catching a gazillion small crappie at oxbow earlier in the year also. I am excited to come back to that side of the state and try again next year.

I may be up there at Woodhead at that time. Searchers Bass Club has a tournament Oct 4th & 5th and if the weather is decent my wife and I may be fishing it. Haven't decided yet. [fishin]
