This summer has been a scorcher!!! Usually around this time, most fisherman decide it is too hot to go fishing. For those of us who brave the beat, lets hear about your favorite hot water methods.

Myself, I am prone to pitch livebait more during the dog days of summer. Most of my fishing is done from shore so I have to make every cast count. Livebait is the quickest way to do that.

If I can't use livebait, then plastic worms or grubs are the way to go. Split shot rigs and finesse rigs are perfect for a wide variety of fish.

Lets hear what you got?

keep those lines wet

Daniel C. During high sun, +90 degree temps, I use a buzz bait.
I look for shade near the shore, even if its only one spot on the whole lake. Stealth is the key, and make a few casts travelling into and through the shade with the bait..

[laugh]

Thanks for that tip Rob! I'll have to check it out at my local lake tomorrow. I can think of a few spots where that might be particularly effective.

keep those lines wet

Daniel C. Nielsen
http://www.nebraskafishing.com/index.html
