[#000000]Here's an FYI on Parley's for the weekend. I went to UDOT website and found the following info:[/#000000]

Westbound I-80 closed 4 p.m. August 9 to 4 p.m. August 10
Westbound I-80 will close at 4 p.m. August 9 to allow crews to replace the Lambs Canyon and Mountain Dell bridges. The closure will be in place until 4 p.m. August 10. Motorists are advised to use I-84 or U.S. 189 through Provo Canyon as alternates. The roads beneath the bridges will also be closed beginning August 4 through the end of August.
Crews will close eastbound I-80 the following weekend for 24 hours. The closure will be in place August 16 at 7 p.m. through 7 p.m. August 17.
These closures will allow the bridges to be replaced using accelerate bridge techniques. Demolition and replacement through traditional methods would require several months or restrictions to one lane in each direction.

[cool][#0000ff]Hey, TubeBabe and I decided to try Jordanelle on Friday morning...since the Willard thing was postponed. We will be launching at the PWC launch ramp at Hailstone about 6 or so. It is usually a good spot for tubing once the water starts dropping. Several spots along that entire shoreline where both smallies and perchies stack up and play with float tubers.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I love to fish Rock Cliff when the water is at full level, but once it drops below the weeds at the east end, the baby perch move out and the predators follow them. It can still be great fishing but you really have to have sonar and know how to make vertical presentations in thick cover. Some fish along clean shoreline and break lines, but otherwise it can be tough. The perch will often still be in fairly shallow water, straight out from the launch ramp, but the bass get tougher to find and to catch.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]We have not fished the PWC ramp area yet this year so we don't know what we will find yet. But, if the past is any indicator we will catch some fish. There are also some nice trout that cruise the shoreline in that area and the bank tanglers often do well on them.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The only thing you have to watch for is the PWC launchings. Not many of them until about 10 AM but when they start hitting the water it can be tough to time your return to the ramp to take out. The good news is that there is a no wake buoy line out there and the best fishing is usually inside that. Not pristine fishing but often productive.[/#0000ff]

are there any walleye at jordanelle? do they hang out with the perch?

[cool][#0000ff]There are walleyes in Jordanelle, but they are not plentiful and are rarely caught. You will be targeting perch and the smallmouth will be in the same areas.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Here are some maps that should help. Basically, go up Hwy 80, through the Park City area and take the Hwy 40 turnoff to Heber and Vernal. Go past the Kamas turnoff and take the Mayflower exit. Go east back over the freeway and continue into the Hailstone area of Jordanelle State Park. Once past the fee gate continue straight and then around to the left. Watch for the turn that is labeled PWC launch and look until you find the parkng lot and launch ramp. Once there, launch and paddle west toward the wakeless buoys. Fish from shallow to deep until you find fish and then stay in that depth or area.[/#0000ff]
