Fishing Forum

Scaled sardines and healthy pin fish are abundent on the shoals on both sides of the north end of the island. Live bait fishing has smoked artificials the past two weeks. Redfish are under the mangroves in the deeper holes in Big Jim Creek, Smokehouse Bay, and in the holes behind the bar north of Bird Rookery Keys. Trout are on the grass flats pretty much everywhere. Some juvenile snook are mixed in with the redfish, and mangrove snapper are everywhere.
