[cool]Got a lucky day off mid week and went fishing south of 33 hole. Cruised around in the tube casting to cover and shoreline for largemouths and found no love. Checked out some of the islands and nothing. While taking a break, I saw boils in mid channel from Sand island. I kicked to the channel side of a small island and started casting to the distant boils. Got the first fish, striper, from a boil that was 150 yards away. Waited for another boil to show and got hooked up about 50 yards away. This one fought harder but came unhooked 10 feet from the tube. Wind came up and headed in and got my second inside the bay by some rocks. Fish #1 caught on a kastmaster,#2 caught on a rapala x-rap. Nice time on the water. Both weighed 1lb.2oz. enough for tacos.

hooked up 2 stripers on surface plug (walking the dog) early last Saturday. Near shoreline on the edge of weedbeds.

Catchin twins out there. Very cool. Man those X-Raps are friggin amazing! They will catch fish when nothing else will. My kayak buddy and I spent a couple of days a few weeks ago trolling crankbaits out by the islands off PWC. He had one x-rap on, and one bagley deep diver, and i had an old shad rap, and a BPS brand crank - all shad patterns. We trolled these 4 baits for hours. Final tally was 8 stripers from 1lb - 3lbs - all on the x-rap. Nothing else got a bite. Im sold on those things. Since then Ive stocked my tackle box with these little beauties. The x-rap stickbaits have been killing the largemouth too. We've been working them over the weed tops in the coves, and the bass are nailing them on a real erratic retrive. X-rap gets the MVP card in my book this year.

[cool]Hey Whizzle, yeah those x-raps do the trick. I've also got some double digit stripers on the large rainbow pattern when the trout plants happen. A must have lure!
