I've never fished lincon beach and was wondering if there are any particularly good spots to catch some kitties. I am taking my brother and we have'nt managed any decent sized channels this year. I would like to get him into a 5+ pounder if I could. any advise on where/how you've had success would be appreciated.

From shore, tube or boat?

In a boat. I would take any info on the other as well for another time. Thanks.

Motor out to Bird Island. It is approximately 1 mile north of Lincoln Beach, and just a little to the west. If you look to the north you should see it. Be extremely careful around it or you will have to either replace your prop or worse yet damage your skeg. On the south, southwest or northwest often holds catfish. Try various depths until you find the magic depth.

Hey bud, I've got several chub minnows in ziplock bags that need to be thinned out (taking up room in the freezer). They make great catfish bait. I'll be gone this weekend (headed south around 10am Saturday) but if you want some shoot me a pm.
I second Bird Island, can't miss it, just head north out of the Lincoln Beach marina. On the north side of the island there are some deeper channels which hold channels [cool]. Do me a favor and stay atleast 1000' away from the island before you head towards it looking for the channels, you will be able to pick them up on a depth/fishfinder. When you do find the channel just throw out the anchor, no need to move. Fish with small styrofoam bobbers with your bait just a few inches off the bottom. Be careful, I always raise my motor up all the way and use my bowmount to navigate near the island and have still hit rocks.
