Made it back to Mantua today with three of my granddaughters. The catching was even faster than it was on Saturday. Whenever we fished with crawlers I don't believe we ever went over 30 seconds without at least one of the three rods getting hit. For some strange reason today fishing with perch was much slower than fishing with crawlers. It was dead calm until after noon. For awhile we would just drop it down about a foot and watch them bite. I got to try fishing with a large jig for a few minutes and I got rewarded. I had at least one other hit from a bass, but didn't keep it hooked. Another great day with the grandkids.
