I just finished finals today and am trying to decide what to do with my week and a half before finals start up again. I was planning on hitting the gorge for some koke action but was wondering if I am too late in the season. I would be going either this weekend through part of next week or early next week. Also If anyone has any advice on where and what to use that would be GREATLY appreciated. also any advice on where to camp would be greatly appreciated too. I was planning on hitting either buckboard or lucerne

You are most likely late for this year. We were there five weeks ago this weekend and had the best koke fishing ever. The boys went back two weekends ago and fished for three days to catch a limit. RMT,s and bright colored squid slightly above the pipeline in Wyoming. They are starting to change color.

The fishing is still red hot everywhre between buckboard and holmes crossing. Just look for the groups of boats. Last weekend the kokes were 45-60 feet down. Our best stuff is always Rocky Mountain Tackle. This time it was a hyperplaid dodger with a mai-tai serpent spoon trailing. This also produced a few rainbows. By 10:00 we had our limits after picking and choosing the bigger ones. Our best combination seems to be differnt every day and sometimes every hour, so don't get stuck on one thing.
