Hi guys,

Im going to Park City for a Business convention in a few weeks and was wondering what would be a good spot to fish in the afternoon to just kill some time. Any input would be greatly appreciated thanks!

[#800000]Jordanelle is the closest reservoir and Deer Creek reservior is a close second. Also, the Provo River between the two reservoirs is a possibility. Time wise from P. C., all are probably within a 45 minute drive.[/#800000]

Lots of places to kill time. Deer Valley Ponds have fish.
What are you looking for? Lake or stream? Trout or Bass?
What tackle will you bring? Spinning or Fly?

With this info, I can give better advice.

Thanks for the input guys. I would bring a lite spinning outfit and would prefer something 10 to 20 min away. I don't mind if its stream or lake. Thanks again!

First of all welcome to BFT utah, I hope we can answer your question. Other locations besides the ones that were mentioned are Rockport and the stream that comes out of the lake. This lake and stream is North of Park city right off of I-80. There are also many lakes and streams in the Uinta's but they are
farther away. Good luck no matter where you go and let us know how you do. WH2

The Nelle is about 20 minutes away and it is loaded with smallies, perch, and trout. The Provo river is right under the dam and loaded with nice trout that will take spinners, rapalas, and tube jigs.[Wink]

Sent you a PM.

I would go to either the Weber River below Rockport, or the Provo River below Jordenelle Dam.
There are several access points along the frontage road of I-80. Go East on I80 to the rockport, Wanship exit. Turn left at the botom of the exit and follow the main road(sic) around until it heads east again. Then take Hoytsville Road to the river. Park where you see access signs. There will be plenty to keep you busy for a few hours.
