I only have a aluminum boat and was wondering if I have to have the whole light setup and everything to fish at night out there. Can I just use a flashlight or no?

I would suggest you do the lights the right way . I about ran into a boat on Willard at night because the yahoo's had no lights at all . They didn't even move with me full bore at them , so maybe they were suicidal .

[#ff0000]It would be a little nutzy to be lightless after dark. WallyWorld has the clamp on battery set for aluminum boats for maybe $20. If you dont have a motor on the boat or if you are drifting you can just use a white round light like a lantern. Before you fire it up you have to have the navigation lights on. Here is a little summary from the Utah boater's guide. Happy Fishing![/#ff0000]

so wal mart has lights for 20 bucks ill stop on my way out. Do the gates get locked at 10 pm on the south marina?

Yes, they auto lock at 10 pm. I would strongly suggest using both lights out there. I have had quite a few "incidents" out there because someone had no lights.[Wink]

I have the clamp on lights for my little boat. rest assured they work great just keep a spare set of batteries

Dont get me wrong guys I have a couple lanterns that you would have seen me. I was more worried about the bow lights but I will go buy some of the clamp on ones now THANKS FOR THE INPUT
