I went to Strawberry for the weekend 8/15/08 to 8/17/08. We started the first morning off by drifting in the Renegade area with a worm and other poles with jigs. We caught several nice cutts on the jigs and on the worm right off the bottom. We then moved into another small inlet near Renegade and caught some larger fish. We caught one over 22 and three that were between 18 and 22.

The next morning I caught three Rainbows at sun up. I then headed over to the docks for a little SCUBA diving. We dove under the docks looking for all the trash that people have dropped off the boats. I could not believe all the trash that is on the bottom of the lake by the docks. I found enough golf balls to start my own driving range. I did find a Spiderman fishing pole and a boat mount pole holder that will get used in the future.

I did see one large school of Rainbows with about 30 fish. They were all in the 10 inch range. The only other fish I saw were Crawfish by the hundreds. They sure do taste great!!!!

All in all it was a good trip. The mornings were cold at about 34 degrees and the water temp was 64. Most fish caught on the trip were in 29 to 40 feet of water.

I forgot to mention the Bow that got away. He was about 25 inches and 5 pounds. Got him to the net and that was all she wrote. Head turned and away he went laughing out loud. [mad]
