Sparky and I got to Weston about 10 a.m., launched the tube in a light breeze. Caught 2 zillion small guys and about 1/2 dozen 13-15 in guys. No keepers. Packed up and got to Devil about 3:30, launched in a light breeze again, and in 2 hrs. caught 6, 12-13 in. guys. Used my standard Reeper and a wacky hooked worm.
Ok, have a question, - The larger bass at Weston were skinny and lethargic [unimpressed] while the bass at Devil were fat, healthy and fought twice as hard. What's the problem at Weston? Man, those bass at Devil looked healthy!

Leaky33, it's good to hear you did well at both locations. I haven't fished Weston or Devil Creek in quite some time and I was born and raised in that area for crying out loud! I need to get out more! [

As far as your question about the fish at both spots, I don't know. Whenever I fished there, I wasn't after bass, and only kept the trout or perch that we landed. I would like to hear from others who have an opinion on this as well.

I do not know what fish eat in Devils but the trout in Weston feed mostly on snails. I do not know if that goes for bass as well or not. I would think the bass would eat perch fry. Catch any perch?

Whats up leaky... Ive been up both places a few times in the last couple of weeks. And yes the medium sized bass at weston are in poor shape. And there little pigs in Devils.
In my opinion the peach had a massive die off over winter in weston... flat out.. I spend a bit of time up there and I always see schools of perch all over in there this year nothing really.
And to what there eatting to get so fat in devils ill never tell... lol....
