NASHPORT, OH-The Friends of Dillon State Park Inc. proudly present the 11th Annual Dillon Family Fest, on August 30 and 31. Come Explore the Outdoors at this free family event.
All activities begin at 11 a.m. each day and are family oriented with hands on activities for the kids as well as entertainment for the whole family. Activities for kids include: kayaking, archery, sand treasure hunt, kite making and flying, disk golf, naturalist programs, a petting zoo and much more. Entertainment for the entire family include: car and motorcycle shows, an antique tractor and engine show, food, games, a corn-hole tournament, music and others. Saturday night will conclude with fireworks.
Children can also participate in the Explore the Outdoors program while at the festival. This program promotes getting outside with the family on a regular basis and enjoying the great outdoors. Kids at Family Fest can pick up an Explore the Outdoors activity guide and complete some of the activities there such as archery, kayaking and learning from a naturalist and also receive the codes for these activities. Later, when they have completed eight of the ten activities, they can go to the website at exploretheoutdoorsohio.com, submit their codes and receive a certified 'Outdoor Explorer' certificate and Mini Companion Lantern from Coleman.
