I really in a bad way, want to catch a koke in the red with my boy. Second that, any bows will do. We've had good luck catching kokes this year on the SC side and will hit it tomorrow before the labor day madness begins
So my question is where to go. I have half a thought to try fishing salmon eggs out in the lake where the strawberry river enters. I've fished a ton in alaska and caught all kinds of salmon on eggs as they go to spawn (they like to crush the eggs, not to eat for food). Might pick up some bows / cutts as well... OR do I head back over to the SC side and fish there somewhere? I've never fished the SC side this late in the year so I'm in the dark where to go there bait fishing. Or maybe continue to troll RMT gear for kokes? We've oddly enough, had great luck catching bows on Koke gear this year... in fact we pick up bows on a 2 or 3 to 1 ratio to kokes.
Reply or PM me if you dont want to share your secrets with the world
This is prolly going to be my last run up there till hardwater comes on.
