Made the 5 hour drive from Boise to PV to take my father (who is visiting from out of state) musky fishing Thursday and Friday before the Labor day crowd showed up.

I had made my first trip ever to PV back in June and this time I immediately noticed water is lower and not much shoreline brush to cast to, so we decided to troll. We trolled drop offs along cemetary point and the neck with no luck and not much showing up on the fish finder. Trolled along shore of south arm and picked up our first fish around 11am Thursday. After trolling around some more we marked many smaller fish and a few larger fish (likely muskies) suspended in various areas of open water in south arm, so we spent the remainder of our time trolling these areas. We ended up landing 6 muskies during a day and half fishing, 2 were over 40 inches, one was a monster at 46-47 inches (I have a 60 inch floating measuring stick, so I can measure the fish in the water boat side).

As for pictures, I forgot the camera at our camp on day one - which is probably for the best, since the water is fairly warm and it stresses the fish to take them out for a picture, but I'll admit I am disappointed to not have photo of the 46-47 inch fish I caught. The second morning I had the camera just in case we landed another monster, but did take a photo of the 40 incher because I had to use the hook cutters to get the bait of his mouth and had my Dad snap a photo before I put him back in the water.

I have to hand to to State of Utah - they have done a terrific job with the tigers in PV, that is one very special place to fish. I wish Idaho would do something similar with a lake or two. Sure Idaho stocks tigers in a few places, but we don't have anything that comes close to PV.
