Anyone do any trout fishing at Jordanelle over the holiday weekend? Going tubing in the Rock Cliff area tonight and I am curious what has been biting, where they have been biting and what they have been biting?

Thanks in advance and as long as we don't get skunked I'll leave an update tomorrow AM.

Try the south side by the buoys about two cast off shore and two cast inside the buoys, seen lots on the depth finder in that area...

It was a good night at the Nell (Rock Cliff)! The two of us hit the water around 5:00 and I promptly kicked out about 2/3 of the way between the boat ramp and the wakeless bouys. I tinkered with Rapalas and Blue Foxes before going back to the old standby, Jakes and letting it sink real deep before retrieving. It wasn't long before I got a good, hard hit. She was dragging me and my tube through the water and taking plenty of drag. By the time I landed her she had snapped about 12" off my pole. She was a gorgeous, 18" Rainbow; with incredible girth. I lost 2 others and my buddy hauled in 3 Rainbows ranging from 14"-17". By 8:00 the sun was down and the action was dying out, but it was a great trip - even if it did cost me a good fishing pole. Good excuse to buy a new one, huh?
