I have been holding tight at the "nest" lately waiting for my little girl to be born and she made her appearance on Sunday and through her first cries I could hear her say "Daddy you need to go fishing"!!! [sly] So with little Sierra's permission I got up early this morning and headed out to one of my favorite watering holes up North!!! I hadnt been fishing since August 5th, so I was hoping I didnt lose any of my "skillz"!!! I arrived at my desired location to find that the water level was pretty low and being only 32 degrees out I didnt want to have to get into the water to launch, so I ventured over to another one of my favorite "holes" a few miles back the other direction just to find it completly unlaunchable so I went to "Plan C" and found it with water still on the concrete so I launched, an hour and 30 minutes late but oh well right? Walking down to the water I decided to make a goal of 30 fish for this outting since I have done it before at this lake and I kept track with a sharpie and my tackle box!!! Anyway, long story short ended with 32 LMB 1 Perch for a total of 33 on the day in 5 1/2 hours. Did see a couple deer, one little young buck!!! All my fish were caught on the same lure, "MY FAVORITE LURE"!!!! All the hustle and bustle came at a price, blew a tire on the trailer on the way home, but gotter fixed pretty quickly!!! Enjoy the pix!!!

Sounds like a fun outing. If your trailer tires are the same age I would be replacing the other tire also. My experience has been that when one boat tire goes the other tire follows quickly thereafter (assuming they are of the same age).

My last outing resulted in a tire coming home in the same condition. At least now I know the lug wrench for my truck doesn't fit the boat lugs and I'm a little better prepared for next time.

Dont worry, I had two extra spares (left one with Dad last year at Lake Powell so had to buy a new one and he returned the old one)!!! Go figure, it was the Brand New tire that blew. Wonder if Discount Tire will reimburse me some money for this. Yeah, it was chilly that morning. 32 degrees when I got to my first location at 6, but warmed up pretty good. No I am not wearing my waders, just a fleece and sweat pants, turned into a shorts and t-shirt day by the end!!! Going again tomorrow, will report again. I will try and get another 30, taking my buddy (AReelMan) as a witness!!!

Yanno, for having a good day (fish-wise), you're hardly smiling in any of your face-featured pictures [crazy]

Everyone keeps telling my wife that I look mean all the time, but she turns around and tells them that I am just a big teddy bear, so I have to turn around and look mean for the camera so I dont get pushed around or beat up when people on here see me on the water!!! HAHAHA I will

You didn't seem mean when I met you to give that stuff to your brother.
And that explains why you're not smiling in your avatar, either! [sly]

I think you're just recycling all your old pictures, maybe from a stock of three or four, as all your fish are pretty small and you're striking the same old pose every time! HA!
Don't worry, you'll be smiling soon when you're working for me again.
Congrats on the new baby.
