Headed to the ladders early am and launched the canoe at 7am and trolled for about 5 hours. Caught 25 cuts (all in the slot) and 3 rainbows all on the same 2 silver spinners. I would find a hot spot and work that until it went cold and then would find another. The wind hit early, around 10:30 and I stayed on until noon fighting the waves....All the fish I caught were in my best guess were in the 25-30 range and the rainbow were in around 40-50. My anchor has 45 feet of rope and I never hit bottom as I wanted to jig for awhile.

My fish finder quit working so I called cabelas while I was fishing and told them the story and they said come on down. I was able to trade up my finder from a 525 to a hummingbird 575, and traded in my 6' (59.00) pole for a 7' Fenwick ($100.00) I was able to walk out of there with $170.00 up side for 18.00 out of pocket. Not a bad day...
Cabelas' has always been good to me and I always go back.

Sounds like some steady action for ya.

I assume you where hooking up 10'-15' below the surface when fishing in 25'-50' of water ?

I started trolling at a slower speed and as it got warmer, finished at top speed on my minn kota and were catching just as many. I guess I was usually around 60-70 feet of line out, I guess about 10-12 feet deep.

Good to hear from you though
