09/10/08- Hit the water at about 4:00pm. Nice calm afternoon. Did'nt see so much as a splash on the way to the Las Vegas Wash.

Lots of green flora near the water. This cove was filled with shad in shallow water.

Small shad quickly fill the live wells. Headed out to the Sand Island channel, anchored, chummed, and sent down live shad. Fished until dark and brought home four stripers, all at about two pounds. Never saw any real top water action.

A great night on the water! Off the water by 8:30pm.

Hello Dave my name is Joe I was wondering when you caught those shad did you go back as far as you can in the wash to get those shad or was there a cove near the area ?

Looks like it was a beautiful evening out there. There are a lot of locatable schools of shad right now. Keep it up.

Caught shad in the cove with the floating outhouse. Be warned that it gets shallow fast!

Netting shad did'nt help much.....only caught four stripers. [:p] Wish I could have stayed late and fished into the night.

There is a lot of bait out there right now, so finding it should not be a problem.

With the moon up right now, night fishing with topwaters would probably score some good fish. Bass too.

Man, it would be really nice to land some shad in the Temple Basin. I've rarely seen any boils there. But then again, I'm not an early riser like you. I would go to sleep a lot earlier if the fishing wasn't so good at night.
