[cool] I just came back from a trip to Siverwood lake in the mountains by Big Bear, Ca. My buddy there has told me about the stripers boiling, so I came up. We fished friday early am and caught 18 in just over an hour from shore. All from boils on silverside baitfish. We were using zara spook puppies. Tried again sunday evening in the tubes for a couple fish. Then monday early am for about 14, mainly dinks, in 3 hours. These were from single boils and blind casting the shore. Pretty much same tactics as I use on Mead. Also one LMB at 14" on the rattletrap.

nice report, looks like a nice little lake and the weather looks perfect no wind. I have not fished in CA by the looks of that place I may have to go.

Enjoyed your report. I have thought about fishing Silverwood a few times, but have always opted to drive the extra hour and half to Casitas. Wonderful scenery, stark contrast to our own beloved lake mead. I am pretty sure I saw trees in your pictures! [Smile]

Nice report! Looks like a great time.

I use Zara Spook puppies on Lake Mead and they work well.
