I'm looking to finally take my boat out for the first time this weekend. I will only have about 1/2 day on Saturday so I think I will head to Jordanelle for the morning.

Has anyone fished Jordanelle recently for trout? Any info on what is working and where would be greatly appreciated. I will probably be taking my 12 yr. old nephew that is easily distracted, so catching fish would be a good thing. Smile

Thanks!!!!

Head up the Provo River arm of the lake (rock cliffs) and troll either side of the area with original floating rapalas just under the surface or jakes lures and spinners that you might have. You should do great. Start as early as you can. I've always done better early than later up there.

IF TH WIND IS BLOWING RIGHT TRY DRIFTING ALONG NORTH SHORE OF ARM AND THROW 1/8 OZ BROWN KAHLIN GRUBS FOR SMALLIES. IF YOU HOOK UP IN A GIVEN AREA ANCHOR AND CAST FOR A WHILE. CAN BE HOT!
FISH ON!

Thanks for the info. I will have to try that. The problem is that I have never done any good at all with Rapalas. I can troll any other lure, spoon, pop gear, etc, and do well on other lakes, but I have never done anything with the Rapalas. What size/color would you use? How fast do you troll them?

Thanks again.

I used the gold/black, perch, clown, firetiger and minnow pattern in sizes 5 and 7 last time up there. Changed them to see if one was better than the other. They all were great that day. I usually run them between 1-1.5 mph. depending on how they want it.
