Just looking for some info on them. I know there are 4 ponds, wondering what one of them is the trophy pond? Is there a map there? Can you flyfish on the bank at the trophy pond or do you need a toon? How big are the fish in there? Basically whatever info you have or a website? PM me if you feel the need, but since this is a family fishing site, thought people may be willing to share. My 7 yr old wants to hook into something a little bigger and thought this may be a fin place for him to try since he is still learning. Thanks.

They are still planting the trout pond on a weekly basis. (You can see the plantings on the Fish and Game Fishing Reports--just click on plantings on the bottom of the Southwest Region report). Yes, there is a map and description of the ponds at the site. My nephew has just taken up fishing, and he is catching regular limits on the Boise River in the Barber Park area--downriver from the bridge, on either side. Another good place to take kids. Mike

I live very close to the ponds and the kids and I go there often.
The fishing is good just after the F & G release, but the fish are soon caught out and it will be slow until the next release.
This time of year, the ponds are choked with moss/algae and fishing is a little tougher. The Trophy Pond is especially mossy. Still, it's a fun place to go. There are walking trails around the ponds and plenty of waterfoul to view up close.
Good luck.
